Fairness & RNG testing

Every result has to be fair and verifiable. This is how the generator behind Quick Pick is tested and how draw integrity is kept.

What the RNG does

When you choose Quick Pick, the central gaming system that registers each ticket and issues its ID generates your numbers with a random number generator (RNG). A sound RNG is unpredictable, evenly distributed and immune to influence.

The Quick Pick button in our number picker only fills the grid in your browser using your browser’s random generator, so you can see a suggested line. It is not a certified generator and has no link to the official draw; the numbers are registered as shown when you confirm the order.

Unpredictable

Each pick is independent, so earlier results never change the odds of the next.

Evenly distributed

Over many draws every number has the same chance. No number is ever due.

Tamper-resistant

The generator runs in a controlled environment that neither players nor staff can nudge.

Checked by outside labs

Lottery RNGs are normally examined by an independent test lab, such as [Independent test lab], which runs large statistical samples to confirm the output is random and within tolerance. Typical work covers:

  • Statistical randomness and uniformity tests
  • Review of the generator and how it is seeded
  • Re-testing after any material change

Certification status

This page describes lottery RNG testing in general. the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) holds no certificate of its own for North Grand Royale and claims none, so no lab, certificate or report number appears here. Check the status of the platform you actually play on with its operator.

Oversight you can point to

Gaming in British Columbia runs under Section 207 of the Criminal Code of Canada and the Gaming Control Act (British Columbia), with supervision by the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO). Game rules for North Grand Royale are coordinated by the body that sets the national game conditions.

The draw itself

Picking your numbers and drawing the winning numbers are separate things. Quick Pick uses the RNG; the official winning numbers come from set draw procedures with documented controls and witnesses.

Quick Pick decides the numbers on your line. It never decides the winning numbers, which come from the official draw run to the published game conditions.
